Dark brunette locks of hair lazily fell over rich honey orbs as the small morphamagus clung to his grandmother’s hand with one hand, the other having it’s thumb painfully sucked by the small mouth. Scratches scrapped his arms and face.

The grandmother was only middle aged but the bags under her eyes and wrinkled complexion showed different. She tossed her head to get rid of the raven bags that covered her own eyes as she held her wand that seemed to be levitating a large suitcase. The two approached the large house white house.

The Woman took a deep breath and knocked on the door with firm knuckles and waited. A young man opened the door and a bright welcoming smile claimed him.

“ Hi Teddy!” He bent down on one knee and hugged the small boy. The small werewolf showed no emotion but held tightly to his godfather’s shirt with one hand. Harry picked up the boy and took the flying suitcase. Harry noticed the brunette locks of the boy’s hair and frowned before turning to the child’s grandparent. “ He’ll be in good hands. I promise.”

The woman nodded sheepishly. “ It maybe a while before his powers start working properly again.” She looked like she would cry but appeared to hold herself together. “ Remus and Tonks would have wanted it this way…” she whipped her eyes hurriedly. “ I-I’m terribly sorry… I just haven’t said her name in so long.”

Harry shook his head,” No, I understand. You can visit anytime you know. You’re always welcome.” He tried smiling but the feeling was not returned between them.

Teddy turned his head to look at his only blood and reached out a small set of fat fingers. “ Gramma.” He whimpered. “ I want you.”

The women shook her head and softly brushed her thumb against his cheek. “ It’s better this way, Sweetie… Uncle Harry will be able to take care of you better.”

The boy shook his head, eyes watering. “ No! I want you!” he stated more loudly.

Again the women shook her head. “ No Teddy… You will be much happier… Good-bye… for the last time…” This time tears spilled from her eyes but she didn’t wipe them. She hugged the small boy and brushed his soft hair, the smell of strawberry shampoo reaching her nose. “ I love you.” She whispered in his sharp ear. The boy shook his head and dug his face in Harry’s cotton tee shirt. His little body shook and the man’s shirt became moist. The woman looked up to Harry and bowed her head. “ Good Bye Harry.” The man bowed his own head as she turned and apperated.

The man lugged in the suitcase while holding onto the boy. He set the case by the stairs and set the boy at his feet.  “ So Ted… would you like a juice box or a snack. We have chocolate frogs, your favorite!” He smiled brightly.

The small boy gazed up but shook his head. “ No thank you…” He mumbled. “ Could I sit on the couch?”

Harry chuckled,” Of course, it’s your house now too.”

The small boy took a look around the house and a deep breath before crossing the archway into the living room. He climbed on the couch and starred at the fireplace. It was dark, cold. He soon realized the similarities and pulled his knees to his chest. Crystal tears stained his ripped jeans as he mumbled to himself in a soft voice,” Why?”

Harry watched from the arch but figured the child needed some time alone to adjust to the situation. He climbed up a flight of red oak stairs and trotted in a room. “ Ginny?”

A woman stood up from the small bed that was now Teddy’s and faced her husband.  She smiled gently, placing a hand on her rounded stomach,” Ello Harry… Teddy here?” Harry nodded glumly. “ He’s not taking the idea well, is he?”

Harry cocked a thick eyebrow. “Ginny, the woman couldn’t stand to even look at him without breaking into tears because his hair reminded her of Tonks. Then when the kid is depressed he looks like Remus. How would you feel?”

Ginny nodded,” Absolutely horrible…”

“ I just wish I could do something for him… be a real father figure to him, you know?”
The red head nodded sitting on the bed, starring out the window. After a few seconds she looked back at Harry with a light smile. “ You know Harry, you two are a lot alike.” Harry merely tilted his head to the side. The redhead rolled her eyes. “ Teddy never knew his parents. They died in a war for him and each other… And during his childhood at such a young age he must feel unwanted as you had felt… Sure it was because the Dursleys didn’t exactly treat you like family, but his grandmother loved him and he loved her… She was like his parent and she basically abandoned him.”

Harry nodded, starring at his feet. “ I-I guess I should talk to him, yeah?”

The red head nodded, standing and pressing her lips against his. “ I love you.”

The man placed his hands on her basketball-sized stomach with a light smile. “ Love you too…” He pecked her cheek and ran down the stairs He walked through the archway to find the boy still in his place on the couch. The man sat on the same couch and wrapped an arm on him. “ Hey Teddy… you wanna talk about this.” The child stayed silent. “ You know Ted… We have a lot in common.” The boy finally looked up to Harry with slight interest but still staying silent. “ I never knew my parents for one thing.” He smiled.

“ You didn’t?” he mumbled quietly.

Harry shook his head with a smile. “ Nope, I wish I did… I hear they were great people all the time.”

Teddy nodded. “ Did my parents want me?”

Harry chuckled. “ Yes, of course they did. Your dad had gone to everyone’s house he knew to tell them you were born. I never saw his smiling like I did that day in my life.”

This made Teddy smile lightly.” R-really?”

Harry nodded,” When your dad died, he died for you to live a better life… With your mother… but she just loved him and you so much she went to the war herself, thinking she could help him… Things didn’t exactly go to plan I guess.” He sighed. “ And I saw your dad… in a kind of ghostly form. He Told me he wished he could have known you… He wanted you to be happier…” Harry held him tighter. When my parents died a bad man was going to kill me. He took off my dad first and my mum second because she was protecting me…”

Teddy nodded and looked up. “ Do you want me?” It was such a simple question, but the child’s eyes were strong and longing to know the answer.

Harry bobbled his head and pulled Teddy to his chest, embracing him in comforting arms. “ Yes I do.” He whispered. Teddy leaned against the man, taking him thumb out of his mouth to hug his godfather back. Harry looked down and noticed the tip’s of the boy’s hair was orphan blue.
A little Teddy and Harry FF. One chapter. I just had some insperation in typing this, nothing special. I liked the idea of Harry taking care of Teddy so I got rid of his grandma... :XD: enjoy! :D
